U2

With their first album, U2 got into a number 1 position in the USA and ranked high on the worldwide albumlists, including the UK and Ireland. Over 25 million albums were sold and Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr were seen as heros in the music industry. The April edition of Time Magazine in 1987 places U2 on the cover and names the band “Rock’s Hottest Ticket”. The year after that is promising: arena concerts are turned into stadium concert to keep up to the demands. They became, and still are, one of the biggest live acts of the world. During the years that follow, the four members create many iconic moments: a videoclip that is rewarded with a Grammy Award, they received a BRIT Award and 2 Grammys for their album of the year.
